Although Kenya has not recorded any confirmed Ebola cases, the Ministry of Health has strengthened surveillance and emergency preparedness nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry has increased screening at border entry points, expanded laboratory testing capacity, trained rapid response teams, and improved disease surveillance to ensure any suspected case is detected and managed quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale recently said Kenya must close remaining preparedness gaps as the country continues to strengthen its readiness against the regional Ebola threat. The Ministry says preparedness has improved, with high-risk counties receiving additional support and monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The World Health Organization has urged neighboring countries to remain vigilant because of the ongoing outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.
