Kenya’s Junior Starlets have secured a historic place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup after defeating South Africa 3-1 in the second leg of the final qualification round at Nyayo National Stadium.

The victory saw the Kenyan side complete a dominant 5-1 aggregate win over their South African counterparts, sealing qualification for the global tournament to be held in Morocco from October 17 to November 7, 2026.

Backed by an enthusiastic home crowd, the Junior Starlets produced an impressive display, taking control of the match and converting their chances to ensure there would be no comeback from South Africa.

The result marks another milestone for Kenyan women’s football, with the Junior Starlets earning their ticket to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup through a commanding performance over the two-legged tie.
